Rides

We organise regular rides, to meet up, and increase confidence in cycling locally. We run one regular ride, and one we’re trying in summer 2025;

For all

When: 10am, (usually) 3rd Saturday of the month

Where: St Mary’s Place (next to Rector’s Cafe)

Ride for all abilities, ages and types of bike. 5-15 miles on paths and quiet roads. Ride as a group, no one is left behind. Regular routes are; around town, to Guardbridge, and Strathkinness. Usually 1-2 hours, with an option to stop for coffee.

Intermediate Road Ride (summer 2025)

When: 18:30, (usually) 1st Tuesday of the month

Where: David Russell Apts, Buchanan Gardens

Ride suited to riders who can ride 12-20 miles in 60-90minutes on the road. Typically these are road rides, but there is a suitable gravel/road route if attendees are on suitable bikes and up for it. These rides plan to be back in town around 20:00. Ride as a group, no one is left behind.

Check our Facebook page for the latest details and amendments (we may cancel due to weather, and rearrange depending on availability).

Beginners are encouraged to ride For All before the Intermediate, but outside of this these rides are open to all, regardless of age, proficiency, and type of pedal-powered machine! Although, we do ask that children are accompanied by a responsible adult.

We prefer helmets to be worn but respect individual choices. And as such please prepare to be self-sufficient – whatever that means to you – snacks, puncture supplies, etc.

Rides are organised by Richard, an experienced cyclist who will be able to support navigating roads, traffic, and most mechanical issues.
